The Big Easy

How could I forget New Orleans?
Last spring we had an incredible time in the Big Easy.  We ate like kings and queens at Two Sisters (shown above)  What a treat.  And of course we had to try beniets, those sugary delicious doughnut like treats.  We even went on a paddle boat on the Mighty Mississippi.

And shopped until we dropped. We also had the pleasure of seeing the LA Clippers play the New Orleans Hornets (now Pelicans). The weather was superb and it wasn't too crowded since we went WAY after Mardi Gras. Fun trip, but the plane trip was the flight from HELL.  Never go through San Francisco Airport if you have ANY alternative routes.

ABQ Again

Hello,

It's been awhile, so I thought I'd tell about our latest adventure.  Back to ABQ for the Balloon Fiesta.
We took a chance and drove cross-country from Cali to New Mexico with our autistic, 20-year-old son.  He did great. He saw all the little things along the way that we usually ignore: trains, snow on the mountain, fireworks stands, trading posts, etc.  It was a real joy seeing the world through his unique eyes.  Now I know how Dad and Mom felt driving cross-country with 4 kids in tow!  Some good, some bad, but mostly fantastic!
We even got to see Albuquerque's great zoo/aquarium/biopark/train.  Clayton was in seventh heaven, as you can see in the picture above. The memories we shared on this trip will last a life-time.
